Competition
Rules
All batsmen MUST wear a specifically-designed, properly fitting cricket helmet with a face guard.  It is in the players best interests for the helmet to conform to the relevant Australian Standard (currently AS/NZ 4499:1997 "Protective Headgear for Cricket").  Wicketkeepers, when keeping up to the stumps, MUST also wear a helmet with a face guard.  Softball/baseball face masks are NOT allowed.
First Aid Provided
Risk
Management
Schools are advised to check all players' personal equipment before the trial.  This is to ensure that all players have the necessary equipment and that it is in adequate condition.
As the trial is being conducted on two turf pitches, it is advised that players have cricket spikes.  However, rubber blades or cricket rubbers are allowed.  Players are advised that it is not compulsory to have spikes to play.
