| Officials Meeting |
A meetings of officials will be held at
the venue at 8:15am. |
| Catering |
A canteen will operate during the trial
day. |
| Equipment |
Each team is required to provide one quality match ball and
a numbered strip for players.
Players are to provide their own personal playing equipment. |
| Shade |
There is shade available at the field, however players and
supporters should ensure they bring their sun protection
such as hats and sunscreen.
Teams are welcome to bring their own shade if so
desired.

| Competitors |
Each district is invited to nominate one
team of sixteen players in each section. |
| Cost |
Cost is $108.00 per team of sixteen.
The District Manager's school will be invoiced for this
amount. Money will not be
accepted on the day. |
| Umpires |
Association Referees will be used on all games.
Student officials will be used as Assistant Referees
from Cleveland District SHS Referee Development Program.

| Carnival Format |
A round robin draw will be conducted. |
Selection
Procedures |
As per MESSB Policy, one teacher from each district may be
nominated as a member of the Selection Panel.
Selections will be final and no further play-offs will be
held. There will
be at least 2 meetings conducted during the day to finalise
selections. A
Possibles and Probables game will be conducted at the end of
the day.

Competition
Rules |
Game time will be 20 minute halves.
Points: 3 points for a win; 2 points for a score draw; 1
point for a scoreless draw.
Champion team will be team with the most points; if
drawn, goals for, then goals against and if still drawn the
result of the game between the 2 teams.
If still drawn both will be declared champions.
After last round game all officials will meet to
finalise Possibles and Probables for a match to allow final
selections to be made.

| First Aid |
All Team
Managers are required to bring their own first aid kit;
however Sports Medicine personnel will be available for the
duration of the trial.

Risk
Management |
Team Managers
are advised the venue is an approved Premier and State
League Venue. However an inspection will be conducted
by the convenors and referees prior to the first game.

Where possible, student referees from Cleveland High will be

However, team officials may be called upon to assist in
umpiring when their own team is not playing. |

Format |
Competition Draw: Round Robin, then 1 v 2 & 3 V 4 and a
Possible V Probable’s match. |

on referee’s whistle.
Winner of the 1 V 2 game will be deemed winners
Teams will be competing for the John Harvey Shield (Boys) &
the Damian Nolan Shield (Girls).
Members of the winning teams will receive a
medallion. |
| First Aid |
Sports Medicine personnel will be available from the
duration of the trial but all teams should bring their own
First Aid Kits & students with existing injuries which need
strapping should bring their own strapping tape. |
